It's also a perfect fit for Game Informer's new video series, Chronicles, which gives us a chance to tell our gaming stories. With few games coming out in July, I figured now is one of the best opportunities I'll have to travel back to this open world. Over the last three years, I've often thought about going back to it.
For some reason, Just Cause 2 stuck with me. Most games I shelve are lost forever, and I don't give them much thought. I had only completed nine percent of it at the time, and I haven't made much progress since then. The world is littered with objectives, collectibles, and most progress comes from veering off of the beaten path to explore.Ī few years ago, I blogged about my progress in this game. Just Cause 2 is one of those games that scratches the completionist itch. I've achieved this mark in every Grand Theft Auto and Elder Scrolls game, and I even spent far too much time snatching up every collectible in Sleeping Dogs and Saints Row 3. When I play an open world game, I usually don't stop until I reach 100 percent completion.
